I'm Ren Kishine (AKA Mossren)

 A Transmasculine illustrator from New Zealand (and even longer ago Kyoto, Japan).​​​

In a fantasy world named Mossren, with stories inspired by my queer community and it's struggles (and triumphs) with self-expression, love and connection, I create digital illustrations that are vivid, unapologetic and sensual. 

What began as a form of escapism, a hidden desire to exist someplace just for me, turned into a lively universe in which I can share the freedoms, fashion and ecstasy of a world with no boundaries. With a cast of reoccuring characters and one-off guests, every new illustration adds a new chapter to this fictional universe.

I create for those who live on the precipice, who have always dreamed of crossing the imaginary line and finding a world that celebrates them for who they are, in their weirdest and most beautiful form.
